History

Her mother was a wild mare caught to be sold. After she was caught she soon gave birth to Ambessa, and later died from complications. The people who helped birth her quickly took the milk from her mother and fed it to her, and went to find a wet nurse as soon as possible. Ambessa showed to be a rather weak filly, most likely due to the mother's malnutrition from the drought. A mare was found, but she rejected the foal and even tried to attack her. No other mares were available, and they had no other choice. They took her out of the stable and left her to die, since they didn't have the time nor money to raise a motherless foal. The foal stumbled around for a bit before finally laying down. By that time she was hungry and exhausted. A mare almost as dark as the night sky that silhouetted her appearance came over and nuzzled the foal and took her in as her own. She grew up in the herd her adopted mother lived in, and continues to live there.
